Officiating will be: Rev. Dr. Kenneth Jarvis.
Music provided by: Ruth Calcaterra - pianist; Ruth Nation - solist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Kenneth Chasteen, Roy Tewell, Paul Gene Galloway, Jerry Teague, Bill Teague and Bud Teague.
Alice Rosie (McIntosh) Chasteen passed away at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. She was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and graduated from Vandalia High School. Rosie was a member and very active in the First Presbyterian Church of Vandalia. She had worked a few part-time jobs during her lifetime and had been a full-time homemaker. Rosie had enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and knitting afghans.
Born: November 25, 1903 in rural Vandalia the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Williams) McIntosh.
Married: Kenneth Glen Chasteen in Vandalia; he preceded her in death on November 22, 1970.
Survivors include: one son, Richard and wife Patricia Chasteen of Maryville, Illinois; survived by three grandchildren: Cynthia Chasteen of Maryville, Illinois; Caryn Chasteen of Collinsville, Illinois and Kenneth Chasteen also of Collinsville, Illinois; one great-granddaughter: Kylee Chasteen of Collinsville, Illinois; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: husband; five sisters: Beulah, Verdia, Bessie, Juanita and Goldie.
