Albert Cullom

Albert Walter Cullom, age 80, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 4:18 pm Friday, July 16, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Waters Funeral Home.
In respect to his wishes, Albert's remains will be buried, next to Judy, on the family farm. All friends and family are encouraged to celebrate his life by attending his memorial service on July 24, 2021 at 10 am.
Albert was born in Perry, MO on September 16, 1940 to Walter Clifton and Catherine Lillian (Kuda) Cullom. He was united in marriage to Judy Lea (Lewis) Cullom on August 20, 1963 in Warrenton, MO. She preceded him in death on September 8, 2015.

Survivors included three sons, Albert Cullom Jr. of Moberly, MO, Ralph D. Cullom (Trina) of Granbury, Texas, Dustin R. Cullom (Stephanie) of Vandalia; one daughter, Kristin J. M. Bryan of Vandalia; two sisters, Velma Jackson of Hannibal and Colleen Cullom of Vandalia; and eight grandchildren, A. J. Cullom, Jordan Cullom, Katie Cullom, Cam Bryan, Alayna Bryan, Nora Cullom, Alexys Grinde and Allyson Gay; also surviving a special niece Ceba Allen and husband, Arthur Allen.

Albert was a very hard worker starting at the age of seven on the family farm. He quit high school two weeks before graduation to work full time and help his father support the family. He was deeply rooted in having a good work ethic. Just two months shy of 81, he was mowing his yard three days prior to going into the hospital. Albert did not know a stranger and was often found just stopping by to visit with anyone he saw. He and Judy loved going to the auction on Friday nights. After she passed, he continued the tradition with his grandchildren. He always found something he knew you needed or wanted. He made great friends at Our House Auction and spoke of them often. Albert enjoyed working on tractors but nothing meant more then spending time with his grandchildren.
